4th Edition | The Return of Persephone

On Sunday, 24th of May 2026, the fourth edition of “Il Ritorno di Persephone” returns to Taranto, a special event dedicated to the memory, tradition and Greek roots of the city of Magna Graecia.

The ceremonial procession of Persephone, daughter of Demeter, symbolizes spring, rebirth and the city’s connection with its ancient history.

The event will start at 11:00 from Piazzetta Monteoliveto and will continue at 11:30 at the Doric Columns of Piazza Castello.

Artists from Greece, Puglia and Basilicata will enliven the historic center of Taranto with music, colors and traditional events, creating a unique experience between the past and the present.
